• State of New Mexico Taxation and Revenue Department (TRD) -- The TRD is charged with the task to administer and enforce New Mexico’s tax and revenue laws, and vehicle and driver licensing code. Major taxes administered by the TRD included the state personal and corporate income tax and the gross receipts and compensating tax as well as other miscellaneous taxes.  The TRD also allows for local governments to enact local option taxes such as school and additional gross receipts taxes. 
  • Sandoval County -- Sandoval County is responsible for assessing and collecting property taxes in Rio Rancho.  The office of the Treasurer is responsible for tax collection and the office of the Assessor assesses the value of property and maintains all property records. 
  • City of Rio Rancho Fiscal Services Department -- Fiscal Services provides financial and procurement services to the City. Divisions within fiscal services included accounting, motor vehicle, and purchasing. 
  • United States Department of the Treasury Internal Revenue Service (IRS) -- The IRS is the federal government's agency for tax administration.
